Keeping your audience engaged

Usually, we remember only 25 to 50 percent of what we hear. By engaging your audience you ensure they retain more of the information you present. You engage your audience by:

  • selecting the appropriate information for your audience and purpose
  • selecting and using language and language features that are appropriate for your audience and purpose
  • organising your information logically
  • using visual aids to support your information.
