Imagine that you are a scientist, an environmentalist, or someone (a member of a lobby/interest groups) who has an interest in preserving marine turtles.

  • Plan a persuasive speech directed at a particular audience.
  • Identify:
    • the information you need to include
    • print and/or multimodal audio/visual aids you could use to support your presentation
    • ways to organise your presentation and language
    • language devices you could use to engage as well as inform your audience.

Making a presentation checklist

  • Participate in a small or whole group discussion. Share your plan, explaining and justifying your choices, and evaluating those made by others.
