Visual codes
The creator of a still image can present a point of view, or perspective, by choosing to represent the subject in a particular way using certain techniques. We refer to these techniques as codes. Codes are systems of signs which communicate meaning. The codes you will need to know to complete the activities in this unit of work are:
- symbolic
- written
- technical.
